Damera Defence is participating in SAHA Expo 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye — one of the world’s major international defence and aerospace exhibitions bringing together manufacturers, military delegations, government officials, and strategic industry partners from across the globe.

With more than 1,700 participating companies and representation from over 120 countries, the event creates an environment where future defence capabilities, operational requirements, and strategic collaborations are actively shaped. For Damera Defence, participation is not simply about attending an exhibition — it is about building the framework required to support advanced systems within the Canadian context.

Representing Damera Defence at the event, Eric Dion, Chief Commercial Officer Damera Defence, is engaging with defence industry stakeholders and international platform developers to discuss opportunities aligned with Canadian operational and procurement requirements.

A key focus of these discussions is how advanced platforms — including unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) — can be effectively introduced into Canada through final assembly, upfitting, PDI (pre-delivery inspection), integration, refurbishment, and long-term sustainment.

In modern defence operations, capability does not end at procurement. Vehicles and systems must remain reliable, maintainable, and operationally effective throughout their lifecycle. This is where Damera Defence positions its expertise — bridging the gap between platform delivery and operational deployment.

As part of the Ontario-based Damera Group ecosystem, Damera Defence benefits from established capabilities in vehicle maintenance, refurbishment, technical support, parts infrastructure, and engineering integration. This foundation enables the company to support platforms not only at the point of entry into service, but throughout their operational lifespan.

The company’s participation at SAHA Expo also reflects growing interest in modular and adaptable defence systems. Unmanned ground vehicles, in particular, are becoming increasingly relevant for logistics, reconnaissance, and high-risk operational environments where flexibility and reliability are critical.

Through strategic collaboration with international manufacturers and partners, Damera Defence is exploring how these next-generation platforms can be aligned with Canadian military specifications, operational expectations, and evolving defence requirements.

This includes collaboration with Tekatron, a manufacturer specializing in unmanned ground vehicle platforms, alongside strategic liaison support from Tamgha Corp. Together, these engagements contribute to a broader effort to connect international innovation with Canadian defence capability.

For NATO-aligned operations, interoperability, sustainment, and readiness remain critical priorities. Proper assembly, integration, validation, and lifecycle support play a direct role in ensuring that systems perform reliably across deployment conditions and multinational operational frameworks.

As an Ontario-based company, Damera Defence recognizes the importance of strengthening domestic capability within Canada. Supporting local infrastructure, technical expertise, engineering execution, and sustainment capacity contributes not only to operational readiness, but also to long-term resilience and skilled workforce development within the Canadian defence sector.

As defence technologies continue to evolve toward unmanned and hybrid systems, the ability to operationalize, maintain, and sustain these platforms becomes increasingly important.

Damera Defence continues to expand its role in supporting next-generation defence capabilities through practical execution, engineering integration, and long-term operational support.

To discuss collaboration opportunities, platform integration, upfitting, PDI, refurbishment, and sustainment within Canada and North America, connect with Eric Dion, Eng., EMBA, Senior Executive and Chief Commercial Officer at Damera Defence.
